PromptSnap ("we", "our", or "us") operates promptsnap.in. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, store, and process personal data in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 of India, and global privacy frameworks (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to operate our service:

• Account Data: When you sign in via Google OAuth or credentials, we receive your name, email address, profile avatar, and account identifier.
• Usage Metrics: We log prompt bookmarking, prompt copying frequency, free tier usage counters, and download preferences to enforce plan quotas.
• Security & Technical Telemetry: Anonymized IP addresses, browser user-agents, and timestamp logs are collected solely to prevent brute-force attacks, scraper bots, and unauthorized abuse.

3. Payment & Financial Data

PromptSnap does NOT collect, view, or store credit card numbers, debit card details, UPI MPINs, or net banking passwords. All financial transactions for PromptSnap Pro (₹199/yr) are processed through Razorpay, an RBI-authorized, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment aggregator. Razorpay handles transaction tokenization and compliance directly.

4. Use of Personal Information

Your information is used strictly to:

• Authenticate your account and maintain active sessions.
• Enforce lifetime free limits (3 copies/downloads) versus Pro unlimited privileges.
• Send transactional emails, payment receipts, and critical account security notices.
• Respond to customer support tickets and contact form inquiries.

5. Zero Third-Party Data Selling

PromptSnap does not sell, rent, monetize, or trade user data with advertising networks, third-party data brokers, or marketing firms. Any analytical data used internally is strictly aggregated and anonymized.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights

You have the right to inspect, export, or permanently delete your account data at any time. To request immediate data erasure, please email our Data Protection Officer at help@promptsnap.in with the subject "Data Erasure Request".
